In September 2005, Gonzalo founded Creative Engine, a communication and graphic design agency that specializes in the development of strategic design solutions for both corporate and commercial applications.

Awards & Career Highlights

In 2005, Gonzalo founded Creative Engine Communication Design. In 2003, while employed by RDG in Vancouver, Gonzalo designed the winning entry for the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics Emblem Design Competition.

Between 2002 and 2005, while working for various design firms in Vancouver, Gonzalo's clients included the University of British Columbia, Simon Fraser University, Vancouver Foundation, BCAA, and the Government of Canada.

Between 1989 and 1995, while working for ADP & Associates in Mexico City, Gonzalo's clients included Kodak, Casa de Bolsa Interacciones, Grupo Bancomer, Grupo ADO, Kimberly Clark of Mexico, Tampax, and Hoteles Camino Real.

Education Highlights

1996 - 2002, BSc in Evolutionary Biology and Mathematics from the University of British Columbia.

1989 - 1994, BDes in Graphic Design from the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City.

Creative Engine was founded by award-winning designer Gonzalo Alatorre in September 2005. In just a few years, our company has developed from a small, home-office enterprise into a highly respected design firm that has served more than 50 clients in three countries.

With our office located in downtown Vancouver, Creative Engine currently employs two full-time graphic designers, a web programmer, a writer, and a sales and marketing associate, with a combined experience of over 35 years.
